You asked me to email me with my “five things” idea that motivates me to get things done. I have a lot of energy in the mornings and I accomplish a lot then, but when I’m dragging or just too tired to do much more than sit and look at what needs to be done, I just tell myself that I only have to do “five things”: clear five papers off my desk, fold five articles of clothing, put five dishes in the dishwasher, pull five weeds from the yard, etc.
It always motivates me to start, and I can usually finish instead of doing just five. Sometimes I just do five, however. At least it was five more than before I started! If you think this idea would help others, feel free to share it.
