Can Organizers–Product Review 013
For this review I got to try out a product that I’d never seen before: cardboard can organizers. If you are not familiar with can organizers, they are meant to store and rotate cans for food
storage. By loading cans at the top, and removing from the bottom, the oldest cans are used first. This also assures that they don’t sit too long.
Advantage
The advantage of these cardboard can organizers, compared to plastic, is that they are easily shipped and you assemble them yourself, keeping the price down.
Assembly
It took me roughly a half-hour to learn how to assemble then put together the flat cardboard sheets that were shipped. I watched the assembly video on You Tube five times while following along (since I wasn’t clever enough to figure it out from the included instructions), then felt like I had it down. If you get different sizes, I would suggest starting with the smallest ones first because it’s less bulk while you’re learning how to assemble.
Sizes
There are three sizes of can organizers: cupboard, shelf, and pantry. I copied some information from the website about dimensions and capacity below:
The Cupboard Organizer 4 Pack for $11.96, is able to hold cans of multiple sizes: 6 Pie filling, 8 Vegetable , 9 Soup, and18 Tuna.
Dimensions
Height:10 3/8″
Width:5″ (actual width for canned goods is 4″ 15/16)
Depth:11″
Capacity: Up to 18 per unit or 54 per 4 pack depending on can size
The Shelf Organizer 4 Pack for $13.96, is able to hold cans of multiple sizes: 9 Pie filling,11 Vegetable, 12 Soup, 24 Tuna.
Dimensions
Height:10 3/8″
Width:5″ (actual width for canned goods is 4″ 15/16)
Depth:16″
Capacity: Up to 24 per unit or 96 per 4 pack depending on can size
The Pantry Organizer 4 Pack for $15.96, is able to hold cans of multiple sizes: 13 Pie filling,16 Vegetable, 18 Soup, 39 Tuna
Dimensions
Height:10 3/8″
Width: 5″ (actual width for canned goods is 4″ 15/16)
Depth: 22.5″
Capacity: Up to 39 per unit or 156 per 4 pack depending on can size.
My favorite size is the pantry organizer, since it’s the exact depth of my shelves in my cold storage, where I keep all my cans.
If you’ve been looking for sturdy can organizers, but don’t want to spend a fortune, I definitely recommend Can Organizer.com.

$13.00 for shipping exceeds what is reasonable. Can these be purchased in a store?
Connie,
Thanks for pointing out the shipping costs. I agree with your complaint. Something I read on the website said that picking up the organizers at the production site was not possible. I could not find any mention of stores that carry them. You could e-mail them and ask about distribution.
Meanwhile, the only thing I’d recommend is finding someone else that wants organizers and go in on the order together. That way you’d be able to use the 10% discount and you could split the shipping cost. It appears that extra boxes only add a couple dollars to the shipping.
As you pull the cans from the bottom of the can organizers, the remaining cans move through. Put the most recent can purchases in the top of the organizers. This keeps your cans organized by date allowing you to use up the oldest stock first. They are just great!
