FAQ  Which is the best microfiber mop for me?

You are selling three different mops:

1)  15" residential microfiber mop,

2)  18" commercial microfiber mop, and a

3)  24" commercial microfiber mop.

How do I tell which will best suit my needs?

First, choose the width of mop that will make for the easiest mopping in your current situation.

The 15" residential microfiber mop is best for apartments and smaller rooms such as bathrooms.  It has a plastic handle & base and is for lighter use.

The 18" commercial microfiber mop is great for homes less than 1,500 square feet.

The 24" commercial microfiber mop is best for homes greater than 1,500 square feet.

Second, consider purchasing a commercial mop as a long-term investment.

This mop has heavy-duty construction with a lightweight, metal handle & base and is made for long-term use.  The wider blade makes for even quicker mopping!

Third, know that any high quality mop purchase is an investment to save you time and trouble!  Remember, my products are 100% guaranteed!

FAQ  What should I look for in a great mop?

Marie's explanation about microfiber mops on Studio 5, KSL TV

Extendable Handle.  Get rid of backaches. Get a mop that can be as tall as you are!  You should be able to hold the mop when your arms are extended and your hands are slightly above your elbows!  This is the advantage of an extendable handle.

Swivel Mop Base.  Make it easy to put on and pull off the microfiber mop pads. Make sure the mop head has a swivel head and "hook and loop" fasteners for your convenience.

Depending on the number and size of your floors, choose a commercial mop with a wider mop base. The investment initially will be greater, but the time savings will be worth every penny spent.

Dry Mop Pads.  For dusting and sweeping, use the microfiber dust pad -- do not wet!  Glide the mop over surface to pick up dust, dirt, pet hairs, etc. When the microfiber pad becomes filled with dust and particles, just peel the pad from the base, and then shake the pad out to remove loose dirt and particles.  Reattach the pad and continue dusting. You can also dust your walls and ceilings with the mop.  The microfiber Dust Mop Pad does not need to be washed after every use -- just wash the pad when it becomes very dirty.

Wet Mop Pads.  If you need to deep clean your floor, dampen the residential and/or commercial Wet Mop Pad in warm water and really squeeze out the water before you start moping the floor.  The mop can be used on all floor surfaces since it leaves a minimum amount of water on the floor.

If the floor is very dirty or, if you would like to get rid of deep stains, you can use a bit of soft soap.  Work the area with the mop until the stain disappears.

Note:  The 18" and 24" commercial Wet Mop Pads are made of stronger fibers and heavier weave and thus there is no need for a separate wet mop tile/grout pad for these commercial mops.

Wet Mop Tile/Grout Pads.  This 15" Wet Mop Pad is manufactured with different lengths of heavy-duty fibers so it cleans the tile and the grout at the same time.  Use as with a regular 15" wet mop pad.

FAQ  What kinds of pads and how many of each do I need?

Dust Pads.  Two to One.  You will need TWO pads for every ONE web pad for wooden and laminate floors as these floors are dusted more often than they are wet-mopped.

Wet Mop Pads.  One to Two.  You will need ONE dust pad for every TWO wet mop pads for linoleum and tile floors as they are more often wet-mopped.

An Easy Laundry.  Purchase enough pads of both kinds to last from one laundry day to the next, usually enough for one week.  The convenience of having clean pads at all times is worth the extra investment.

FAQ  How do you mop your floor?

If you have two sides to your kitchen sink, use one side and add a bit of clean water at the bottom, soak the microfiber mop pad in it and wring it out tightly. Because microfiber requires little if any cleaning solution, this method works well for me. When the pad becomes too dry to function, I soak it in the water again, and wring it out in the second side of my sink, so as to not contaminate the clean water.

If you only have one sink, use the same procedure but wring the pad out in a bucket, which will keep your sink water clean and your floor the same.

FAQ  How do you care for microfiber products?

Microfiber products can be machine washed on a regular cycle.  Please do not use bleach or fabric softener as this reduces the effectiveness of the microfiber.  Do not machine dry, but hang dry, shake, and reuse as necessary.

FAQ  Why microfiber?
How microfiber is made.  Each strand of microfiber has two parts, wedge-shaped polyester filaments and a core of nylon. Made of both oil-attracting and water-attracting polymers, these strands are woven into masses of tiny "hooks & loops". The sharp edges of millions of these fibers cut through dried-in stains, attracting and absorbing dirt and micro-particles, eliminating the need for additional chemical cleansers. The capillary effect between the filaments and nylon core creates a high absorbency, which in turn, enables the fiber to clean and polish at the same time.

Why microfiber works.  Microfiber picks up and traps dust, dirt, grease, and particles inside the "star-shaped" grooves of the fiber. Microfiber products have up to 30 times the cleaning power of an ordinary cleaning cloth or pad.

Microfiber consists of very fine threads that are so thin (100 times thinner than a single strand of human hair) that when they are woven together they create a surface area 40 times more than that of a regular fiber -- creating an expanded surface area with dramatically enhanced absorbing power due to the capillary action of the fine threads.

How microfiber absorbs.  Microfiber has two polymers. Polyester has an affinity to oil, so that oil and grease adhere directly to the fibers. Polyamide has an affinity to water. As a result, any type of dirt is very quickly and completed removed with microfiber, leaving a sparkling clean, streak-free surface. Microfiber cleans without streaking, smearing, scratching or leaving lint. Microfiber is safe to use on all delicate surfaces. It will clean without scratching or harming the surface in any way.

Microfiber actually lifts or scoops the dirt and stores the dirt particles in the towel, until it is washed. Microfiber can absorb up to seven times its weight in fluids. Microfiber cloths can be washed up to 1000 times and still maintain their effectiveness. This makes it an extremely cost effective product. Machine wash or hand-wash microfiber with mild soapy water.
